The extensive renovations at Casa Olivo finished in 2020. This was carefully carried out to recreate the character and quirky features of a typical Andalucian house and combine them with the high specification and comfort of a 21st century home. Traditional style features include exposed beams, painted wooden window shutters, painted iron railings and beautiful tiled floors. These are combined with double glazed wooden window frames, ample electrical sockets including USB sockets in each bedroom, Wifi both inside and outside and 5 air conditioning units with a heating option.

The interiors are bright and spacious with tasteful and eclectic décor and furnishings making it a most comfortable and relaxing space. The kitchen is of a simple Andalucian style with an excellent range of quality appliances and utensils. Both shower rooms are contemporary in style and have large shower enclosures and high pressure showers. The living room is on the top floor. It is bright and surprisingly spacious with comfy sofas, a wood burning stove, a Smart TV, Sonos Bluetooth speaker and two sets of French doors with Juliet balconies overlooking the village. The outdoor spaces are accessible from the upper hall, kitchen and living room meaning that there is a great flow to the accommodation.

El Olivo opened in 2023. It is a  large and very beautiful villa on the outskirts of the village of Canillas De Albaida and just a 15 minute walk from Competa.

The villa is split level with the upper level being the home of Michael & Seamus. A separate entrance leads to the lower level which is the guest accommodation which is available on a B & B basis. At times there may also be an option to rent the entire guest level as a self catering unit. El Olivo has been tastefully modernised to provide three spacious guest bedrooms , all with luxury ensuite shower rooms with stylish tiling and contemporary sanitary ware. Each room has a Smart TV and air conditioning. There is also a large and very comfortable lounge area open plan to the Breakfast area. This leads out to the terrace with vines and bougainvillea where guests can also enjoy breakfast or a drink overlooking the pool and taking in the breathtaking views. There are ample sunbeds and umbrellas on the pool terrace around the 10m x 5m pool.

El Olivo offers guests the opportunity to stay in an exclusive adults only property in a rural yet convenient location on the edge of the natural park and yet within walking distance of two beautiful whitewashed villages and all the attractions and ammenities that they offer!
